O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.03.2017, for obtaining renewal of recognition and to get permission to admit the 11th and 12th students for Higher Secondary.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is a Chairman of Issac Christian Institute of Professional education and religious trust group of education trust. His trust is running the matriculation school under the name and style of Dr.V.S.Isaac Matriculation School, wherein the petitioner is the correspondence of the said school. The petitioner institution is a Christian Institute of Professional education and religious trust located in rural area. The petitioner school has obtained recognition to run the matriculation school upto 10th standard. The director of Matriculation school has given permission on 10.03.2015 vide order O.Mu.N.
841/A3/2013 to admit 9th and 10th standard student in this institution for the academic year 2016 to 2017 and in pursuance of the said order, the petitioner school admitted the students upto 10th standard. In order to renew the recognition and to obtain permission to admit the 11th and 12th students, the petitioner made a representation to the respondent on 28.10.2016 along with required documents, followed by a reminder dated 02.03.2017. Though the same was received by acknowledged by the respondents, the respondents have not taken any steps to consider the same. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4. In view of the limited scope of prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 02.03.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
