Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the claim of the petitioner for promotion as Woman Inspector of Police in the light of the representation made by the petitioner dated 03.03.2016 within a reasonable and grant such other relief as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondent to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner dated 03.03.2016 in respect of her promotion to the post of Woman Inspector of Police.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner states that the writ petitioner is now working as Woman SubInspector of Police in Coimbatore District and she is eligible for promotion to the post of Woman Inspector of Police. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.However, the respondents have not considered her case for promotion. In this regard, the writ petitioner made a representation to the second respondent on 03.03.2016 and the same is yet to be considered.
4.The learned Special Government Pleader states that the counter has also been filed and it is for the second respondent to consider all the merits and demerits at the time of passing final order.
5.Thus, without going into the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 03.03.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
