ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to give service connection for the petitioner's property by considering his representation dated 09.02.2023.

2. Though the petitioner filed W.M.P.No.13496 of 2023 seeking to fix an early date for hearing of the present writ petition, he is consented for the disposal of the main writ petition itself. Page No.2 of 6

The case of the petitioner is that, he purchased a property from one Late.Valleeswaran Gurukkal to an extent of 3483 sq.ft. in Old Survey No.23/1 and New Survey No.23/3 in the year 2003 vide Document No.2224 of 2003. After the purchase, the revenue records were also been mutated in favour of the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation dated 09.02.2023 before the respondents for effecting electricity service connection in his favour. Since the same was not considered by the respondents, the petitioner filed the above writ petition before this Court for appropriate orders.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised in the writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2023 and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submit that the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2023 will be Page No.3 of 6

considered and appropriate orders will be passed by the respondents, within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

6. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
