ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's application dated 26.11.2019 against the third respondent under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.K.Parameshwaran, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Notice to the third respondent is dispensed with by this Court, since no adverse orders are going to be passed against him. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.

3. Heard Mr.D.Magesh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Parameshwaran, learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2.

4. Learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2 on instructions would submit that enquiry on the petitioner's application dated 26.11.2019 filed against the third respondent under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 is fixed for hearing on 21.05.2021 at 3.00 p.m. On instructions, he would further submit that the official respondents are willing to pass final orders on the petitioner's application within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. After recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's application dated 26.11.2019 filed against the third respondent under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 within a period of six weeks from 21.05.2021, being the first date of enquiry, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner as well as to the third respondent.

6. With the aforesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of . No costs.
