ORDER

[Order of this Court was delivered by T.RAJA, J.] The petitioner has come to this Court seeking a direction to the respondent to pass orders on the application dated 18.10.2021 for the issuance of community certificate to her and her son P.M.Dakshinesh that they belong to "Kurichchan (ST) community" based upon the community certificate already issued to her own sister T.Rajalakshmi.

2.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner belongs to 'Kurichchan Community' which is classified as Scheduled Tribe Community and she did not obtain https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

any community certificate, though her School and College records show that she belongs to 'Kurichchan (ST) Community'. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the petitioner's own sister T.Rajalakshmi obtained Community Certificate from the respondent on 12.05.1997 certifying that she belongs to 'Kurichchan (ST) Community', after proper verification and enquiry. Since the Community Certificate is required for the petitioner and her son P.M.Dakshinesh, the petitioner preferred an application to the respondent on 18.10.2021 along with her Primary School Records, School Transfer Certificate, Community Certificate of her own sister T.Rajalakshmi and Report of the State Committee of her close relative L.Indhumathi requesting him to issue them Community Certificate. As there was no response, she is before this Court with the above prayer.

3.At this stage, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that notice has already been issued to the petitioner on 08.03.2022 informing her to come for enquiry on 18.03.2022.

4.When the notice has been issued on 08.03.2022 fixing the date of enquiry on 18.03.2022, we are inclined to issue suitable direction to the respondent. Accordingly, if the petitioner appears on the said date of enquiry before the office of the respondent, her request for issuance of Community Certificate would be considered within a period of four weeks from the date of enquiry.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
