rectify the patta with respect to property situated in New Natham survey No.1741/13(Old Natham survey No.58/A1), Kottur Village, Pollachi Taluk, Anaimalai Sub-Registration District, Coimbatore Registration District by subsisting petitioners name in the place of Arulmigu Masaniamman Kovil within a specific time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to rectify the patta issued for the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition by substituting the name of the petitioner in the place of Arulmigu Masaniamman Kovil, based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.According to the petitioner, the name of Arulmigu Masaniamman Kovil was erroneously included in the patta issued for the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition. The petitioner seeks for rectification of the said patta by substituting his name in the place of Arulmigu Masaniamman Kovil. The petitioner had given a representation on 04.10.2025 to

the respondents 1 and 2 for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Mr.D.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the 3rd respondent. 4.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the 3rd respondent would submit that the competent authority for the Temple is the Assistant Commissioner/Executive Officer and not the Commissioner. In view of the same, the name of the 3rd respondent is now substituted as Assistant Commissioner/Executive Officer in the place of Commissioner by exercising this Court's suo motu power.

5.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2025, seeking for substitution of his name in the place of Arulmigu Masaniamman Kovil in the patta issued for the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition is considered on merits and in accordance with law by the 2nd respondent after hearing the objections of the 3rd respondent and any other third party, whom the 2nd respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2025.

7.For the foregoing reason, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and on accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2025, seeking for rectification of the patta issued for the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition by substituting the petitioner's name in the place of Arulmigu Masaniamman Kovil, after hearing the objections of the 3rd respondent and any other third party, whom the 2nd respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 8.With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
