Respondents PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition is filed under section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying to call for the records in Crime No.742 of 2014 for an offence under Section 406,420 pending before the Inspector of Police, C-1, Sriperumbudur Police Station, Kancheepuram District., and quash the F.I.R. In Crime No.742/2014 against the petitioner herein for the reasons as stated.

O R D E R

The present petition is for quashing the investigation in Crime No.742 of 2014 pending in this petition. The defacto complainants namely 2 to 13 herein have amicably settled the dispute between them and the petitioner.

2. Accordingly, they had presented themselves before this Court on 19.06.2017 which was recorded. The respondents 2 to 13/defacto complainants have also filed affidavits dated 16.06.2017 in which they have stated that they have no intention to pursue the case against the petitioner.

3. Recording the submissions made in the affidavits filed by the defacto complainants, the proceedings in Crime No.742 of 2014 on the file of the first respondent police are quashed. With these observations, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
