ORDER

The petition has been filed to direct the 2nd and 3rd respondents to correct name of petitioner father as Raman instead of Ramasamy in petitioner brother Venkatesan's death certificate by considering petitioner representation dated

31.12.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Considering the limited relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.01.2026, requesting a change in the name of the father of the deceased Venkatesan on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders. However, the second respondent shall first ascertain on the basis of the documents that the father of the deceased Venkatesan is Raman and thereafter, shall proceed to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
