Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pass orders on the representation dated 17.03.2015, seeking grant of patta on merits and within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims that he is a resident of Door No.36, 4th Street, Gokulam Colony, Papanaicken Pudur, Coimbatore - 641 041 for over 40 years and the said lands falls within the Town Survey Nos.217 and 404/2A1A and it has been classified as Kuttai Poramboke and the petitioner has been seeking for issuance of patta and a positive recommendation has also been made for issuance of house site patta. The petitioner would further state that though the first respondent, vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.25745/2009/A1, dated 27.11.2012, has taken into consideration the earlier orders passed by this Court dated 14.06.2011 made in W.P.No.29865 of 2010, no response is forthcoming and therefore the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

Mr.L.Chandrakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the typed set of papers and would submit that in the light of the recommendation made by the first respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.25745/2009/A1, dated 27.11.2012, the representation dated 17.03.2015 submitted by the petitioner may be disposed of within a stipulated time.

4. The Court heard the submissions of Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondents.

5. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, directs the first respondent to take into consideration his earlier proceedings in Na.Ka.No.25745/2009/A1, dated 27.11.2012, and consider the representation dated 17.03.2015 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice to the persons concerned, as expeditiously as possible, not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
