O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the first and second respondents to instruct the third respondent to pass orders on the application submitted by the petitioner seeking for patta with respect to the subject property.

2. Heard Mr.B.Kannan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner is claiming right and title over the subject property by virtue of a Will dated 25.10.1991 executed by the mother of the petitioner. The further case of the petitioner is that the Town Survey Land Register (TSLR) also stands in the name of the petitioner. However, the grievance of the petitioner is that the total extent of the property is 20 cents and that a wrong extent was mentioned in the Town Survey Land Register (TSLR), Hence, an application was submitted by the petitioner on

03.03.2015 before the third respondent to carryout the necessary corrections. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this court, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to deal with the application submitted by the petitioner on 03.03.2015 and the representation made by the petitioner on 21.06.2024, on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
