ORDER

This Court, by an order dated 24.2.2014 in W.P.No.5423 of 2014, directed respondents herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.9.2013 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.73, Public Works Department, dated 1.4.2011 and pass appropriate orders https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Alleging that the said order has not

been complied with, the present contempt petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that as per the direction of this Court, the first respondent herein has passed an order dated 8.1.2015, on the representation of the petitioner, by rejecting the same. A copy of the said order has also been served to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

3. Since the first respondent has passed an order on the representation of the petitioner, I am of the opinion, nothing survives in this contempt petition and hence, the contempt petition is closed. However, if the petitioner is aggrieved over the order passed by the first respondent, he is at liberty to challenge the same in a manner known to law, if he is so advised.
