ORDER

Mr. L.P. Shanmughasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for the respondent. With consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

This writ petition has been preferred seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to count the entire period of service rendered by the petitioner from 18.03.1993 (sic) 1983 to 26.11.1996 in the non-pensionable establishment, along with the regular service from 27.11.1996 to 31.05.2016, as per Rule 11 of the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules, by considering her representations dated 08.03.2012 and 24.01.2017, wherein, she has has sought counting of her service from the date of initial appointment, viz., 18.03.1983.

According to the petitioner, albeit as per her appointment order dated 18.03.1983, her appointment was purely temporary for the duration of the project, she was continued in service sans any interruption from the date of her appointment, viz., 18.03.1983 and ergo, her pending representations deserve to be considered. garners support from Rule 11(1) of the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules. Given the limited scope of the relief sought by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representations dated 08.03.2012 and 24.01.2017 on their own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. Costs made easy.
