ORDER

This Court, by order dated 31.07.2013 in Crl.O.P.No.19616 of 2013, has directed the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.1514 of 2012 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

2.Since the said order passed by this Court has not been complied with within the stipulated time, the present Contempt Petition has been filed by the petitioner. 3.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, a status report has been filed by the respondents stating that on completion of investigation, the case has been closed as 'Mistake of Fact' on 22.09.2014 and also a copy of the notice was also served on the complainant/petitioner vide F.R.C.No.38/K3X/2014 on the same day through a police official; but, the notice was not received by the petitioner; Hence, the respondent-Police affixed the notice on the wall of the petitioner's residence and taken a photo in the presence of public witnesses. The respondent has also submitted a detailed report with regard to the case to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate No.

Thus, the respondent-Police has conducted the investigation in fair and free manner in accordance with the law and all the mandatory provisions are complied with by the respondent-Police during the course of investigation. Thus, the respondent submitted that the order of this Court has been complied with.
