By order dated 08.06.2016 in Crl.OP.No.10163 of 2016, this Court had directed the respondent police to complete the investigation within four months from the date of receipt of the order.

2. Mr.M.Ravikumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Anti Land Grabbing Cell has filed an affidavit, wherein, it is stated as follows in para 5: "I respectfully submit that I have taken charge only on 27.10.2016 and the time limit granted by this Hon'ble Court expires on 22.11.2016. Further investigation is pending for collection of required documents, prosecution sanction order from the District Collector. After receiving sanction order further documents have to be collector for charge sheeting the above cases. Hence it is just and necessary to grant a further period of 6 months to complete the investigation and to file charge sheet."

3. Accepting the submissions, four months time is extended from 22.11.2016 to complete the investigation.
