This writ petition has been filed by Raman, challenging the orders passed by the first respondent dated 29.09.2015 and 03.02.2016 in and by which, he was terminated from service.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mrs.Rita Chandrasekaran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of first respondent, submitted that the impugned orders, which are challenged by the petitioner, are appealable in nature.

Since the petitioner has got an efficacious and effective alternative appeal remedy under Section 55 (4) of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Act, 1959, he cannot approach this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India and hence, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is dismissed and the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent authority, if so advised.No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
