ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the first respondent to conduct enquiry under the Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act, 1975 into the affairs of NLC OBC Employees Welfare Association registered as Document No.121/2000 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.12.2019 and pass orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.T.M.Pappaiah, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the remaining respondents, notice to the remaining respondents are dispensed with by this Court. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.

In the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, the petitioner has alleged various irregularities against the NLC OBC Employees Welfare Association which is registered as document No.121/2000 under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975. The petitioner claims that he is a member of the

above referred association. According to him, he has given representation on 02.12.2019 to the first respondent to conduct enquiry with regard to the irregularities committed by the above referred association. Admittedly, the said representation has not been considered till date. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, this writ petition has been filed.

4. Heard Mr.R.Gururaj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.M.Pappaiah, learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent.

5. The relief sought for in this writ petition is an innocuous one. The petitioner claims that NLC OBC Employees Welfare Association which is registered as document No.121/2000 under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975 has been committing irregularities. The petitioner has also filed before this court various letters and documents alleging irregularities against the functions of NLC OBC Employees Welfare Association. The petitioner has given a representation on 02.12.2019 to the first respondent requesting them to take action against the aforesaid association as per the provisions of Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975 for the irregularities committed by its office bearers. Admittedly, the said representation has not been considered till date. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law after hearing all the necessary parties.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.12.2019 seeking action against the NLC OBC Employees Welfare Association registered as document No.121/2000 under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law after hearing all the necessary parties including the private respondents in this writ petition within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid direction , this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
