ORDER
The petition has been filed to direct the 2nd Respondent, namely the Chairman/Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Housing Board, Chennai, to consider and dispose of the petitioners representation dated 05.01.2026, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame.
2. The petitioner made a joint application along with her husband for allotment of a residential plot in online portal under the Middle Income Group Category under the Mullur Satellite Township Scheme issued by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board and also made payment which was duly acknowledged by the respondents. However, due to a clerical omission in the online portal, her husband's name was not reflected in co-applicant column. Later, on 15.10.2025, the petitioner selected Plot No.251 (MIG) and remitted 10% of the tentative cost amounting to Rs.2,89,100/-. Despite compliance of all requirements, the respondents had neither issued the allotment order nor served any rejection or show cause notice to the petitioner.
3. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner made a representation to the third respondent. The third respondent by reply dated 18.12.2025, stated that the second respondent is the competent authority to take a decision. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation dated 05.01.2026 before the second respondent for which there is no response till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.01.2026, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
