O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondent and with their consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal.

2.The writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner pertaining to the property measuring to an extent of 430 sq.ft. of undivided share of land situate at Plot No.64 C.K.M.Nagar Edapalayam Madhavaram comprised in Survey No.270/2 of Madhavaram Village and Taluk Tiruvallur District.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if a direction is given to the respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 15.12.2015, within a time frame.

4. The petitioner applied for transfer of patta on 03.08.2015 to the respondent pursuant to the purchase of the property in question.

Since the representation of the petitioner dated 15.12.2015 seeking permission to issue patta in his name is kept pending and in view of the above submission now made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.12.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity to the petitioner as well as any of the interested parties.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
