Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 19.01.2015 made by the petitioner to include the name of the petitioner in the ration card issued to the brother of the petitioner bearing No.03/G/0037865 within the period to be stipulated by this Honourable Court.

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims that he is, at present, suffering due to age old ailments and is depending upon his brother for his livelihood. The petitioner further submitted that in the ration card bearing No.03/G/0037865, issued to his brother, his name did not find place and consequently he is unable to avail the benefit of the welfare schemes given by the Government of Tamil Nadu. In this regard, he has submitted a representation dated 08.04.2015 to the second respondent and received the acknowledgment on the same day and since no response is forthcoming, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts the notice for the respondents.
4. This Court, without going into the merits of the representation, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as possible, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
