Contemnor(s) Prayer: This Contempt Petition is filed under Sections 11 & 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act to punish the respondents for committing Contempt of Court by their wilful deliberate disobedience of the order passed by this Court dated 07.12.2023 in W.M.P.No.32849/2023 in W.P.No.33158/2023. ORDER
As against the interim order passed in W.M.P.No.32849 of 2023 in W.P.No.33158 of 2025 dated 07.12.2023, the contemnors preferred an appeal in W.A.No.1068 of 2025, which came to be dismissed by the Division Bench of this Court on 08.04.2025.
2. Subsequently, in a connected matter arising out of the order passed in W.M.P.No.32844 of 2023 in W.P.No.33154 of 2023, the Division Bench, in W.A.No.2765 of 2025, had entertained the appeal and also granted interim stay on 10.09.2025. In view of the same, the Contempt Petition filed therein, viz., Contempt Petition No.653 of 2025 came to be closed.
3. Since the impugned order, against which the present Contempt Petition have been filed, is also similar to the order impugned in W.M.P.32844 of 2023 in W.P.No.33154 of 2023, I am of the view that the present Contempt Petition also requires to be closed, in view of the Division Bench having taken cognizance of the matter.
4. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition stands closed, with liberty to the petitioner to work out her remedy, subject to the final outcome of the Writ Appeal in W.A.No.2765 of 2025.
