Respondents The writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to survey the land in S.No.227/1B measuring 40 cents in Kottivakkam village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, covered vide patta No.702 and grant patta to the petitioner, after proper survey and sketch.

At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 had submitted that the land, in S.No.227/1B, measuring about 40 cents, in Kottivakkam Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, vide patta No.702, would be surveyed and consequently, the boundary will also be fixed, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the other persons concerned, if any. The third respondent shall also be intimated, by the second respondent, about the survey to be conducted, in respect of the said land.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2, the second respondent is directed to survey the land, in S.No.227/1B, in Kottivakkam Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, and pass appropriate orders thereon, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the third respondent, as well as to the other persons concerned, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
