ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition for a Mandamus, to direct the respondent to measure his property and put boundary stones, on the basis of his representation dated 19.01.2015.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is the absolute owner of the property comprised in Survey Nos.319/35 and 319/41 situated at Thervaikandigai Village, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Thiruvallur District and he had also obtained patta No.80 dated 14.02.2003 in his favour. Thereafter, he submitted a representation dated 19.01.2015 along with necessary fee to the respondent, to measure his property and put the boundary stones therein. However, till date, no action has been taken by the respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court with this writ petition for the above stated relief. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondent.

Considering the limited prayer sought for herein, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.01.2015 by affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, with regard to measure the petitioner's property and fix the boundary stones therein. It is made clear that this court is not expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioner and it is for the respondent to pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
