This Petition has been filed seeking Succession Certificate with respect to the securities as stated in the schedule to the petition and which stood in the name of Mrs.Kamala Menon, who died intestate on 27.05.2015. She was the mother of the petitioner. Her husband / father of the petitioner B V S Menon had predeceased her and had died on 17.12.1997. The petitioner is the only son and he has no other brothers or sisters. 2.

In view of the fact that he is residing at Luxembourg, a power of attorney had been appointed to file the Petition and to tender evidence. The said power of attorney S.Prasad was examined as PW-1. The power of attorney was marked as Ex.P-1, the death certificates of Mrs. Kamala Menon and B V S Menon and the legal heirship certificate of Mrs. Kamala Menon were marked as Exs. P-2, P-3 and P-4. The details relating to the share certificates were marked as Ex.P-5.

In view of the evidence produced, this Petition stands allowed as prayed for and a direction for grant of Succession Certificate to the petitioners with power to collect the securities, and to receive the interest and dividends thereon and negotiate and transfer the securities specified in the schedule is issued.
