Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 2.11.2023 seeking to take appropriate action against the encroachment made by the fourth respondent in New Survey No.476/6, Old S.No.431 of Vanniarpalayam Village, Vazhudhalampattu Panchayat.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN,J.) Claiming to be a devotee of the deity in the temple situated at Survey No.476/6, Old S.No.431 in Vanniarpalayam Village, Vazhudhalampattu Panchayat, the petitioner raised issues before the respondent authorities with regard to the encroachment put up by the fourth respondent. As the representation dated 2.11.2023 seeking removal of encroachment has not been taken into consideration, the present writ petition is filed.

2. Without going into the merits of the matter, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the competent authority to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 2.11.2023 and take necessary action for removal of the encroachment, if any, after

providing opportunity to the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
