..Respondent(s) Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2025 and to rectify the incorrect mapping of payment of sum of Rs.75,700/- from the State Bank of India, made under transaction/REG No.REG202507186320091 bank reference IKODICDQY2 dated 18.07.2025 and acknowledge, the same by correctly mapping it towards the sale Deed Document No.6479 of 2025 dated 03.07.2025 and release the sale deed to the petitioner, also direct the respondents to pay a

compensation of Rs.25,00,000/- towards the mental agony suffered by the petitioner.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to rectify the incorrect mapping of payment of Rs.75,700/- made by the petitioner through the State Bank of India, on 18.07.2025, and adjust the same correctly by mapping towards the sale deed dated 03.07.2025 bearing Document No.6479 of 2025, and also release the sale deed to the petitioner, and further direct the respondents to pay a compensation of Rs.25 lakhs towards the mental agony suffered by him on account of improper mapping of his payment.

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions would submit that the petitioner is not pressing the payment of compensation of Rs.25 lakhs towards the mental agony as prayed for in this writ petition. The said submission is hereby recorded by this Court.

3. He would further submit that since the petitioner is a senior citizen, the payment of Rs.75,700/- made by the petitioner in respect of the stamp duty and registration charges towards the registration of the sale deed dated 03.07.2025

bearing Document No.6479 of 2025, has to be properly mapped, and a direction may be issued to the respondents to release the said document.

According to the petitioner, since the payment made by the petitioner for a sum of Rs.75,700/- to the respondents for registration of the sale deed dated 03.07.2025 bearing Document No.6479 of 2025, has been wrongly mapped to another transaction, a direction may be issued to the respondents to release the aforesaid document to the petitioner forthwith.

Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, and on instructions, he submits that that the petitioner's representation seeking for registration of the sale deed dated 03.07.2025 bearing Document No.6479 of 2025, will be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks by the respondents. The said undertaking given by the respondents, through the learned Spl.GP., is hereby recorded by this Court.

The learned counsel for the petitioner also relies upon a letter dated 14.10.2025 of the second respondent addressed to the first respondent, and submits that the second respondent himself has admitted that only due to the incorrect mapping of the payment made by the petitioner, the document, namely, sale deed dated 03.07.2025 bearing Document No.6479 of 2025, could

not be released to the petitioner.

After recording the rival submissions, this writ petition is disposed of in the following manner:- (a) The third respondent is directed to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2025 seeking for release of the sale deed dated 03.07.2025 bearing Document No.6479 of 2025, in his favour, after adjusting the sum of Rs.75,700/- paid by the petitioner towards the stamp duty and registration charges for registering the said document.

(b) The third respondent is directed to complete the aforesaid exercise within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

(c) With regard to the petitioner's second part of the prayer, the same is dismissed as not pressed as recorded by this Court in paragraph No.2 of this order.

No Costs. W.M.P.No.7168 of 2026 is closed.
