ORDER

The grievance of the petitioner is that the Patta that originally stood in his name was cancelled by the Tahsildar, without notice to the petitioner. The petitioner, therefore preferred an appeal to the District Collector, who transferred the matter 2/4

to the District Revenue Officer concerned.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the appeal is now pending before the District Revenue Officer, Chennai. 3.In view of the above submission, the District Revenue Officer, Chennai is required to expedite the disposal of the appeal and at any date dispose it off not later then four (4) weeks from today.

4.This Writ Petition stands closed accordingly. No Costs. 5.The Registry is directed to mark a copy of the order to the District Revenue Officer, Chennai.
