The petitioner's father passed away on 20.09.2002. The petitioner at that time was 17 years old. He did not file an application within 3 years of attaining majority but applied only on 22.11.2013. 2.Had the application been made within 3 years of attaining majority, I might have directed the respondents to consider the same. However, the application for compassionate appointment, having been made nearly 11 years from the date of the petitioner's father death and 8 years from the date of attaining the majority, I am not inclined to grant any relief. This writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
