Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the Disqualification Slip dated 09.02.2024 issued to the petitioner (Enrolment No.2307598) issued by the second respondent and quash the same and further directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner or appointment for the post of Common Recruitment for the posts of GR.II.PCS, GR.II.JWS and Fireman 2023 based on petitioner's representation dated 19.02.2024.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed calling for the records relating to the Disqualification Slip dated 09.02.2024 issued to the petitioner (Enrolment No.2307598) issued by the second respondent and quash the same and further directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner or appointment for the post of Common Recruitment for the posts of GR.II.PCS, GR.II.JWS and Fireman 2023 based on petitioner's representation dated 19.02.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner had applied for common recruitment for the posts of GR.II.PCS, GR.II.JWS and Fireman 2023. The petitioner had appeared for the written examination and after clearance of written examination, he was called for Physical Measurement Test, on 07.02.2024. Thereafter, it was postponed to 09.02.2024. On 09.02.2024, he had appeared for Physical Measurement Test and he was measured as 169.2 cms in the manual scale. Therefore, the petitioner filed an appeal and thereafter, he was measured as 169.3 cms in the

Super Check Sensor. The required norms for physical measurement is 170 cms insofar as the petitioner's community. Therefore, the petitioner is not coming under the zone of consideration and he was rightly disqualified by the second respondent by the Disqualification Slip dated 09.02.2024.

4. Therefore, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the disqualification slip issued by the second respondent and this writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed.
