Respondents This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.2.2017, requesting for posting as Panchayat Secretary in any of the vacancies in the post of Panchayat Secretary in Walajabad Panchayat Union. 2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner

Svn contended that the writ petitioner had proceeded with maternity leave with effect from 22.11.2012 and she had given birth to a child on 27.11.2012.

3. On returning back, she made a representation to the second respondent to allow her to join duty, but the second respondent has not yet issued any orders, permitting the writ petitioner to join duty. In this regard, the writ petitioner made a representation to the first respondent on 27.2.2017 and no order has been passed till today.

4. Thus, without going into the merits and the demerits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 27.2.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. 31-07-2017 Speaking Order/Non-Speaking Order.
