This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C No.90 of 2019 pending on the file of the Additional Special Court for Trial of Criminal Cases related to Elected Member of Parliament and Member of Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu, Singaravelar Maligai, Chennai.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the above case has been politically motivated and FIR do not constitute any offence. Hence, the present petition to quash the proceedings.

3. It appears from the records that having obtained anticipatory bail, the petitioner has not complied the orders of the Court by producing the sureties. It shows that he has scant respect to the Court Order. Such being the case, this Court is of the considered view that the petitioner has no right to seek quash the proceedings as a matter of right.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the charge sheet has already been filed in this case and the matter is posted before the trial Court on 16.03.2020.

5. In view of the fact that charge sheet has already been filed and the matter is posted on 16.03.2020, at this stage, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
