Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the representation dated 27.06.2022 within stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

By consent of both the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the representation dated 27.06.2022, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. Page No.2/6

4.According to the petitioner, he purchased two shops in Shop Nos.270 and 271 in S.No.568C/1 along with a building, situated in Vikravandi West Village, Villupuram District Village, Tiruvallur District, from the original owners. While being so, some third persons tried to usurp the properties belonged to him, by registering the said property with the 3rd respondent. Hence, with no other option, the petitioner has sent his representation dated 27.06.2022 to the 2nd respondent. Since no action has been taken on the side of the 2nd respondent, the petitioner has preferred the present Writ Petition.

5.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner prayed that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner within the time frame to be fixed by this Court. 6.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the 2nd respondent is ready and willing to consider the representation of the petitioner by invoking the Section 77A Page No.3/6

of the Registration Act. However, he prayed to grant eight (8) weeks time to dispose of the representation of the petitioner. 7.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 27.06.2022 sent by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with the procedure contemplated under Section 77A of the Registration Act, after giving due opportunity to all the parties concerned, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
