Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.3.2015, requesting to issue revised patta in jointly in the name of the petitioner and her sister in respect of the Survey No.109 16A at measuring 053.50 Acers covered by patta No.597 at Perumpundi Village, Villupuram District.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 22.3.2015 in relation to the issuance of the revised joint patta.

2. The learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner, states that she is also the owner of the property described in the present writ petition. However, the grievance of the writ petitioner is that the Revenue Officials had granted the patta jointly in the name of the writ petitioner as well as in the name of the younger brother of the father of the writ petitioner. Aggrieved from and out of the said joint patta, the writ petitioner made a representation to the second respondent to issue a revised patta. The representation submitted by the writ petitioner, in this regard, dated 22.3.2015, is pending before the second respondent.

3. Thus, without going into the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner dated 22.3.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, by affording reasonable opportunity to all the parties, including the writ petitioner as well as the third respondent, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
