The case of the petitioners is that under the pretext of conducting an enquiry in connection with the existing civil dispute with the 2nd respondent, the 1st respondent police are unnecessarily harassing them. 3.
When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the 1st respondent police, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given against the petitioners, the respondent police are conducting an enquiry in C.S.R.No.880 of 2025 and that the petitioners were called only for enquiry and were not harassed during the enquiry.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the 1st respondent police are directed to close the matter if the dispute is civil in nature. Further, they shall not summon the second petitioner, who is a woman, to the police station after 6.00 p.m.
