ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 4 (1)(i), 4(1)(aaa) and 4(1-A)(ii) of TN Prohibition Act, in Crime No.477 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 120 litres of ID Arrack. Hence, the complaint was registered.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that petitioner was found in illegal possession of 120 litres of ID Arrack. He would further submit that there are eight previous cases pending as against the petitioner. He would further submit that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and that the petitioner has involved in very serious offence and there are eight previous cases pending as against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
