of the 2nd respondent. Aggrieved over the same, they raised the dispute and made a representation to the 1st respondent on 03.07.2017 followed by another representation dated 25.02.2021. The 1st respondent has not taken any action. That is why the petitioners have approached this Court.

When these matters are taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the 1st respondent has issued notice of hearing as 22.03.2021. 3.

Considering the fact that the 1st respondent has initiated the conciliation proceedings, it is suffice that a direction is given to conclude the same within a period of 14 days as mandated under Section 12 (6) of the Industrial Disputes Act. Therefore, a direction is given to the 1st respondent to conclude the conciliation proceedings within a period of 14 days from the date of hearing.

Accordingly, these writ petitions are disposed of with the above observation. No costs.
