ORDER

The present contempt petition arises out of an order dated 26.09.2018 in W.P.No.24972 of 2018, wherein, the learned single judge of this Court has permitted the petitioner to participate in the recruitment process in the next round of selection.

2.The objection raised by the learned Government Counsel was that as against the writ petition, they had filed an appeal, which was dismissed and in view of the liberty granted therein, they had also filed a review application before this Court in Review Application No.80 of 2019. 3.Today, the review application was taken up for hearing and the same was dismissed on merits.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in view of the liberty granted to the petitioner, he had also participated in the subsequent selection process pursuant to the notification issued in the year 2020-2021 and that the selection process is in progress. In view of the same, the present contempt petition need not be kept pending, since the respondents have already permitted the petitioner to participate in the next round of selection process.
