Apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 35(b) of Tamil Nadu Forest Act 1882 V Section 35 and Tamil Nadu Timber Transit Rule 1968 Section 9 in STOR No.2 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police, the petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, who is the owner of the lorry, has illegally transported red sandal wood, which is worth about Rs.4,00,000/-.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he has not committed any such offence and he has been falsely implicated i n this case.

4. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner on the ground that the petitioner is involved in one previous case of similar nature.

4. Taking note of the fact that the petitioner has transported red sandal wood in his lorry worth to the tune of Rs.4,00,000/- and that he is involved in one previous case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and the petition is dismissed.
