ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, a counter affidavit has been filed by the respondent, wherein it has been stated as follows:

"

5. I respectfully submit that the Government of Tamil Nadu has framed the "THE TAMIL NADU STREET VENDORS (PROTECTION OF LIVELIHOOD AND REQULATION OF STREET VENDING) SCHEME AND RULES, 2015" for street vendors.

6. I respectfully submit that after enumerating the hawkers. The Vending Committee, will be formed the road has to be measured by the Chennai Corporation officials also along with Revenue Officials. Thereafter Vending Committee to be formed the Hawkers has to be identified by the Vending Committee.

7.I respectfully submit that the Government of Tamil Nadu passed a G.O vide G.O (4D) No.5. Municipal Administration and Water Supply (M.C.I) Department dated 5.10.2016 approving the recommendation sent by the Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation for formation of the Vending Committee. I further submit that this respondent vide his proceeding dated 1.11.2016 in R.D.C.No.007/2016 has initiated steps for formation of the Vending Committee.

8. I respectfully submit that this petitioner shall appear before the Town Vending Committee and may be obtained orders to run bunk shop."

2. In view of the same, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Vending Committee and get his grievances addressed.
