Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for records and quashing the order dated 30.01.2026 passed by the 1st respondent vide letter No.12042204/UD-VII(2)/2025-2 and consequently direct the respondents to grant a reasonable time period of 15 to 18 months for vacating the premises of the 5th respondent at No.1/6 and 1/7 Bazaar Road, Moggapair East, Chennai-600 037.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, challenging the lock and seal order and also seeking a direction to the respondents to grant reasonable time to the petitioner to vacate the premises of the fifth respondent at No.1/6 and 1/7, Bazar Road, Mogappair East, Chennai 600 037.

2. Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submitted that he would not like to pursue challenge to the lock and seal order; however, he may be permitted to remove the movable and other belongings.

The learned counsel for the respondents have no objection for the said request.

3. In view of the same, this petition is disposed of by permitting the petitioner to remove the movable and other belongings from the premises mentioned above, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP Nos.6927 and 6926 of 2026 are closed.
