This writ petition is filed challenging the order of Sub-Registrar, Thagattur, Vedaranyam Taluk, Nagappattinam District, dated 01.03.2011 directing the petitioner to pay stamp duty to the tune of Rs.95,820/-.

2. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents on instructions submitted that the petitioner after filing the writ petition, has paid the stamp duty admitting his liability. He further submitted that the prayer sought for in the writ petition has become instructions in view of the payment made by the petitioner to the second respondent as per the impugned demand. The petitioner's counsel did not object.

3. In view of the above facts, this Court is of the view that no further adjudication is required in this writ petition.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No Costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
