Crl.O.P.No.5478 of 2022 Dr.G.JAYACHANDRAN. J, The petitioner herein and others illegally transported 987.600 Kgs of banned Tobacco product.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor states that investigation is under way and expressed her apprehension that if the petitioner is released on bail, he may abscond and indulge in similar offence.

3. Though the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that nothing was recovered from the petitioner herein, the F.I.R indicates that he accompanied the main accused Ashokan, when the raiding team intercepted them and the contraband was concealed in his house.

4. In view of the above facts, this Criminal Original Petition for bail is dismissed.
