Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 18.03.2016.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondent to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 18.03.2016. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submits that the writ petitioner was appointed as Helper Trainee in the erstwhile Tamil Nadu Electricity Board on 23.08.2017 and subsequently his services were regularized as Helper w.e.f. 23.08.1998. The writ petitioner was promoted to the post of Wireman in the year 2001 and thereafter to the post of Commercial Inspector in the year 2009. promotion is to the post of Assistant Engineer and the writ petitioner is possessing the required qualification in this regard.

3.However, the respondents have not considered the case of the writ petitioner, despite the fact that the writ petitioner is fully qualified for promotion to the higher post in this regard. The writ petitioner has submitted a representation to the second respondent on 18.03.2016 and the same is yet to be considered.

4.Thus, without going into the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 18.03.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. However, no order as to cost.
