Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing 1st respondent to initiate appropriate disciplinary proceedings against 2nd and 3rd respondents police personnel involved in the incident dated 07.03.2011 for brutal attack on the petitioner and kept the petitioner in illegal custody on 07.03.2011 for nearly 3 hours and other illegal acts of savagery committed against him for the injuries and humiliation suffered by him at the hands of 2nd and 3rd police and other police person who involved in the crime. When the matter was listed for hearing on 09.11.2021, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Thus, this Court passed an order, directing the Registry to list the matter on 11.11.2021 under the caption "For Dismissal".
2. Even today, i.e. 15.11.2021, when the matter is taken up for hearing, none appeared for the petitioner. Thus, it is evident that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing the matter. Accordingly, the Writ Petition in W.P.No.6844 of 2011 stands dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. Consequently, connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
