2. The Chairman, District Recruitment Bureau, Chengalpattu, O/o. the Registrar Of Co-operative Societies, F-Block, 3rd Floor, District Collectorate Campus, Chengalpattu-603 111.
..Respondent(s) Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to declare and publish the result pursuant to the interview conducted on 26.11.2025 for the post of Assistant vide Notification No.1/2025 and No.02/2025 dated 06.08.2025 on the file of the respondents.
For Petitioner(s):
Mr. M.S.Palaniswamy For Respondent(s):
Mr.S.Ravikumar, SGP
ORDER
This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to declare and publish the result, pursuant to the interview conducted on 26.11.2025 for the post of
Assistant vide Notification No.01/2025 and No.02/2025 dated 06.08.2025 on the file of the respondents.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is a qualified graduate, who applied for the post of Assistant, pursuant to the notification Nos.1 & 2 of 2025 dated 06.08.2025 issued by the second respondent for 126 posts of Assistants in various Co-operative institutions in Chengalpet District. However, the entire selection process was stalled by this Court in W.P.No.17071 of 2025 by way of an interim order, which was later modified by the First Bench of this Court in the manner that though the process of selection may continue, the respondents shall not issue appointment order, without the leave of the Court. Though there is no restraint order against declaration of results, the respondents have failed to declare and publish the same. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to publish the result. However, the appointment order shall be issued after obtaining the permission of the First Bench of this Court.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.
5. The facts in the case are not in dispute. Admittedly, the entire selection process was seized by the Hon'ble First Bench of this Court with a direction, not to issue an appointment order. At the same time, mere publication of result will not automatically entitle the petitioner for getting an appointment, unless the selection process and the appointment is permitted by the First Bench of this Court.
6. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant the prayer sought by the petitioner. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to workout his remedy in the manner know to law, in the writ petition pending before the Hon'ble First Bench of this Court in W.P.No.17071 of 2025 or after disposal of the writ petition.
7. In the result, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. 23-02-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order VM Note to Registry: Upload the order copy on 23.02.2026
