The prayer made in the writ petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 not to accord permission for conducting the beef eating mela to be organized by the Dravida Viduthalai Kazhagam on 23.04.2017 (Sunday) at about 10.00a.m. at Kolathur, Periyarpadipagam, Near Tollgate, Salem District.

2. Since the date, on which the event was scheduled to be held on 23.04.2017, was over, the relief sought for herein has become infructuous. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
