Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader submits that during the pendency of this writ petition, the petitioner has been promoted to the post of Tahsildar during the panel year 2022 and he is now Working as Tahsildar at Nilgiris District. The aforesaid statement made by the learned Special Government Pleader is also placed on record.

2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that based on the aforesaid submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, the writ petition may be disposed of.

3. In view of the aforesaid submission, as the petitioner has been promoted to the post of Tahsildar in the panel year 2022, subsequent to the punishment of stoppage of increment for six months during the year 2021, the grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition has been redressed. Hence, there is no necessity to consider the writ petition further.

4. In view of the above, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs.
