2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the claim of the petitioner for promotion as Woman Inspector of Police was not properly considered, so she made a detailed representation to the respondents on 12.12.2015. Since no order is passed by the respondents, the petitioner filed the present writ petition. 3.Heard the submissions of Mr.K.Venkataramani, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.

4.This Court, considering the submission made by the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents and taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.12.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
