O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the Respondent Police to conduct further investigation pursuant to the registration of F.I.R., in Crime No. 342 of 2018 and to file final report.

2.The petitioner is the father of the deceased Madasamy @Kevin Rooban. It is seen that the petitioner's son Madasamy @ Kevin Rooban married one Flora in the year 2013. Soon after the marriage, they lived separately from the matrimonial home and they were blessed with a son and a daughter. The petitioner's son was working as Chef in a ship and thereafter, he was searching for a job in a ship in USA. Whileso, all of a sudden, his son's father-in-law called the petitioner and informed through mobile that his son committed suicide by hanging. Having suspicion over the death of his son, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police and a case was registered in Crime No.342 of 2018. According to the petitioner, the complaint was lodged on 03.09.2018, till now the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

police have not filed a final report. Hence, he filed the present petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor filed a status report filed by the Inspector of Police, Manali New Town Police Station, Chennai, stating that investigation is going on. Few witnesses have been examined and few call record datas to be collected and to be investigated. 4.Heard both sides.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent Police, Viz., The Inspector of Police, M-7, Manali New Town Police Station, Manali, Chennai-600 103 is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.342 of 2018 and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
