.. Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the 3rd Respondent to pass orders on the Petition dated 23.12.2004 in NA.KA.No. 890/12 dated 22.10.2012.

By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner submitted an application dated 23.12.2004 to the 3rd respondent stating among other things that one K.Damodaran, has created a joint power of attorney and executed a sale deed in favour of the 4th respondent and patta was also changed in her name and prayed for cancellation of patta. The 3rd respondent has given notice of hearing on 10.04.2013 and last such notice was issued on 04.08.2014 and though nearly a very many years had passed, petitioner, has not been favoured with any response and hence, came forward to file this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.C.A.Diwakar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondents 1 to 3.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application, directs the 3rd respondent to consider the application dated 23.12.2004, submitted by the petitioner, for cancellation of patta, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner as well as to the 4th respondent.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
