Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to forthwtih consider and pass orders on the Statutory Application of the petitioners dated 3.2.2015 within a stipulated period For Petitioner : Mr.K.Selvaraj For Respondents : Mr.R.Vijayakumar Additional Government Pleader.

By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioners submitted an application dated 03.02.2015 to the respondent praying for certain clarifications in the field map prepared by the respondent and vide proceedings dated 10.02.2015, sent by the Assistant Director of District Land Survey Office, to the respondent and the respondent was directed to take expedite steps on the application of the petitioners and inform the petitioners and also to report to his office. In this regard, the petitioners had also sent a reminder dated 11.03.2015 and though, the said reminder was acknowledged, they were not favoured with any response, hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.K.Selvaraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioners and without going into the merits of the application, directs the respondent to consider the application dated 03.02.2015 submitted by the petitioners, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned, and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioners as well as to the persons concerned.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
